Michael Barrientos:: Michael Barrientos is a photojournalism educator and photographer in Mexico City. He was previously based in Guadalajara, Mexico, Madrid, Spain, Guayaquil, Ecuador, Washington, DC, Maputo, Mozambique and Lisbon, Portugal where he was a contract photographer for Corbis Images and The New York Times. He has was a staff picture editor at The New York Times and New York Times Regional Newspaper Group, a photographer and writer beginning in 1993 at newspapers throughout the United States. Barrientos's work has appeared in numerous newspapers and magazines. He is currently represented by Polaris Images.
